The CAL primary Insert is designed to allow the replacement of an original sliding glass door lock with a new CAL LOCK.
The Cal primary insert completely fills the hole left when an original lock is removed.
Install it by pressing firmly on top and bottom clip until it snaps into place. The primary insert is installed on the outside and the CalLock double bolt lock is installed on the inside over the insert.
After the installation there is sometimes a slight gap left around the hole that can only be seen when the bolts are open. So, each CAL primary insert comes with a matching, stick on cover to hide any gaps
